Flatland
- Silvio Lorusso (Italie)
In Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions, written and illustrated by Edwin A. Abbott in 1884, a fictional two-dimensional world is inhabited by geometric shapes. Drawing from these premises, the work exposes the « flatness » of the digital interaction where the interface is commonly hidden behind skeuomorphic effects and analog-like animations. A version of the novel taken from Google Books is uploaded on issuu.com, then the embedded book, whose pages flip endlessly, is shown in an isometric environment.
