Illya Szilak uses open source media and collaborations forged via the Internet to create multimedia novels. Reconstructing Mayakovsky is included in the second Electronic Literature Collection and was a jury pick for the Japan Media Arts Festival 2010. Her second novel, Queerskins, has been officially honored by the Webby Awards as one of the best Net Art websites of 2012. Cyril Tsiboulski, co-founder and creative director at cloudred studio, designed the interactive experience for both. A practicing physician, Szilak also blogs on the arts for the Huffington Post.
