María Goicoechea has a degree in English Philology from the University Complutense of Madrid and a Master’s Degree in Intercultural Communication from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). Her doctoral dissertation is entitled The Reader in Cyberspace: A Literary Ethnography of Cyberculture (2004). Currently, she is a teacher of the English Department at the University Complutense of Madrid (UCM). Her research interests include literary theory, ethnography, and cyberculture.
